Golden Ears Doula Co – Helping ease the transition into the 4th trimester. Postpartum doulas aren’t just for first time parents- they can help to ease the transition for your growing family, and can help in the cases of multiples or children who have spent time in NICU.
Postpartum Doula Support provides nurture and care to the mother and family, and may look like:
- Planning for the newborn / postpartum period
- Help creating a routine, parenting strategies
- Feeding Support and Education
- Learning newborn care
- Baby soothing strategies
- Sharing resources & referral to resources
- Simple meal prep
- Allowing you to get a shower or nap
- Information / monitoring for signs of postpartum anxiety or depression
- Baby-related laundry & dishes
- Overnight care – sleep support for new parents
Fees:
- Daytime $30/hr, packages starting at 12 hours (each shift is a minimum of 4 hours, additional hours may be added at the package rate)
- Overnight $35/hr, packages starting at 24 hours (each shift is a minimum of 6 hours, additional hours may be added at the package rate. Start times between 10pm and 12 am, end times 6-7 am)
- A non-refundable retainer of the equivalent of 6 hours is required at the time of booking and will be deducted from your final invoice. Invoices are sent weekly and to be paid before the start of the next week’s shifts.
- A la carte hours (less than 3 shifts) may be booked for $38.50/ hour, subject to availability
