Golden Ears Doula Co – Helping ease the transition into the 4th trimester. Postpartum doulas aren’t just for first time parents- they can help to ease the transition for your growing family, and can help in the cases of multiples or children who have spent time in NICU.
Postpartum In- Person Doula Support provides nurture and care to the mother and family, and may look like:
- Planning for the newborn / postpartum period
- Help creating a routine, parenting strategies
- Feeding Support and Education
- Learning newborn care and safety
- Baby soothing strategies
- Sharing resources & referral to resources
- Simple meal prep
- Allowing you to get a shower or nap
- Information / monitoring for signs of postpartum anxiety or depression
- Baby-related laundry & dishes / cleaning sterilizing pump parts and bottles
- Overnight care – sleep support for new parents
Fees for in-person support:
- Daytime $35/hr, packages starting at 12 hours (each shift is a minimum of 4 hours, additional hours may be added at the package rate)
- Overnight $40/hr, packages starting at 24 hours (each shift is a minimum of 6 hours, additional hours may be added at the package rate)
- A non-refundable retainer of 50% is required at the time of booking, for packages under 48 hours; hours to be used within 30 days of start date
- A non-refundable retainer of 30% is required at the time of booking, for packages over 48 hours; hours to be used within 60 days of start date
- A la carte hours may be booked for $45.50/ hour, subject to availability
